Sporty’s Instrument Rating course has been enhanced, with significant updates completed and new content added. Viewers start by ride along on a real-world IFR flight to Chicago Midway to learn about the preparation, flying skills, communications, navigation techniques and instrument approach skills necessary for the flight. But in this update, 25 new, fully narrated HD maneuvers offer step-by-step instructions for all the key elements in the Airman Certification Standards for the instrument rating.

Members of the American Bonanza Society (ABS), along with anyone with an affinity for Bonanzas and Barons, can now purchase a wide selection of ABS merchandise from Sporty’s Pilot Shop.  Items include both men’s and women’s apparel such as t-shirts, golf shirts and baseball caps, with a buttonless cap designed especially for headset-wearing pilots. Sporty’s VFR Training Goggles were designed by a Sporty’s Academy flight instructor to get the student’s eyes off the gauges and outside the airplane. While wearing VFR Training Goggles, the view of the panel is blocked, forcing the student to look outside the airplane – perfect for steep turns.
