Ideal fall weather in the Midwest made for a memorable week of first solos and certificates at Sporty’s Flight School at Clermont County Airport (I69). During the week, Sporty’s celebrated 4 first solos, 2 Private Pilot Certifications, 2 Commercial Pilot Certifications and a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the number of milestones this week of the Thanksgiving holiday,” says Sporty’s Academy President & Chief Instructor Eric Radtke. “The fact that so many of our customers and staff were able to participate in the cutting of the shirt tails and other celebrations made it that much more special and created a wonderful sense of community.”
Congratulations on first solo milestones to Adam Theye, Bradley Bowermaster, James Tran and Matt Miller. Congratulations to Private Pilots Amir Sulaymonov and Ryan Lauderdale. Congratulations to Commercial Pilots Tom Husted and Steven Meckstroth and congratulations to newly-minted Certified Flight Instructor Ryan Marler.
Endorsing instructors included Sporty’s Tom Baresel, Dan Dusterberg, Jeremy Henson, Ben Nickum, Saul Meza, Tim Pence and Michael Logue.
“We’re seeing continued high demand for pilot training,” added Radtke. “The utility of our Frasca devices allow students at all levels to continue progressing even when the conditions outside aren’t cooperating.”
Sporty’s Academy, a division of Sporty’s Pilot Shop, welcomes clients from all over the world for Recreational to career pilot training at its headquarters at Sporty’s Clermont County Airport. In partnership with the University of Cincinnati (UC), Sporty’s Academy administers the UC Aviation Technology: Professional Pilot Training Program, providing the University with training aircraft, instructors, and aviation curricula.
