Join Sporty’s under the Big Tent at AirVenture
Expanded retail store offers interactive experience
Sporty’s has expanded its EAA AirVenture presence again for 2013 to an even bigger tent to give show-goers more room to walk around and have a hands-on experience with the products. Located in outdoor space #260 in front of Hangar B, Sporty’s will have a huge array of products on display, including an on-going demonstration of the Stratus, Sporty’s in-flight weather receiver, now in its second generation.
“We experimented last year with moving from an inside exhibit to our own tent outside,” says Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman. “Our tent was so well received that we’ll have a bigger tent for this year.”
Sporty’s on-site, 1,500 square foot display includes a headset demo station where customers can try on a wide range of headsets, side by side, without having to run from booth to booth. New this year is a GoPro video camera demo station where customers can experience the simplicity of these camera systems. Also available will be a large assortment of iPad accessories, Flight Gear bags, pilot kneeboards, RAM mounts, radios and more.
Sporty’s AirVenture tent allows elbow room for show-goers to confer with Sporty’s pilot/experts away from the heat and noise of the inside hangars. More than just “booth workers,” Sporty’s staff will host the tent to be able to talk pilot-to-pilot with attendees. CFIs from Sporty’s Academy will be on site to answer any questions about learning to fly.
