Pilot Shop relocates to Lakeland, FL, to kick off the flying season!

The first big aviation event of the year is about to take off, and Sporty’s will be there in a big way. The annual Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo, which takes place in Lakeland, Florida (KLAL), runs from April 9-14. Sporty’s will be located just outside Hangar A on the main ramp, offering new products, interactive demonstrations, and access to product experts, show specials and much more. Customers are encouraged to touch, inspect and ask questions in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.

Located north of the main exhibit hangars in outdoor space N100, Sporty’s tent provides an interactive shopping hub with hundreds of products for hands-on sampling. If you’ve been thinking about some new pilot gear, there’s no better place to visit. Pilots can try out the latest headsets from Bose and Lightspeed, compare portable aviation radios side-by-side, and shop a large selection of flight bags, accessories and apparel. 

“The Sporty’s Sun ‘n Fun experience goes beyond products and show specials,” said Sporty’s President, John Zimmerman. “Visitors will have access to our team of product experts and pilots for honest opinions and practical advice on everything from finding the right mount for your iPad, to investing in an ADS-B receiver, to upgrading your home simulator.”

Sporty’s will also have a team of flight instructors available from its Learn to Fly department to discuss flight training and provide the steps to getting started. “We know it’s supposed to be spring break for pilots, so our instructors will share how to make the learning process fun and easy,” added Zimmerman. “We look forward to meeting and greeting thousands of Sporty’s devoted customers.”
