Flight Gear Universal Aviator’s Light Doubles as a Headlamp

The Flight Gear Universal Aviator’s Light is much more than a flashlight. The innovative dual rotating axis and durable clip allow placement almost anywhere in the cockpit or on your flight bag. Use the included headband and the Universal Aviator’s light becomes a headlamp. Red and white light operate with independent buttons, meaning you don’t have to scroll through white light and ruin your night vision prior to getting to the red light.

The button for the red LEDs controls two levels of brightness. The low-level red LED is ideal when you just need a touch of illumination in the cockpit. The high-level red LED is great to brighten up a larger space inside the plane without adversely affecting your night vision.

The other button on the universal light controls the white LEDs. The first press of the button turns on the bright white at 140 lumens, perfect for pre-flight. With a second press of that button, the light changes to a medium intensity. A third press of the button changes the light intensity to low, maximizing battery runtime.

In addition to the pilot-friendly light features, Sporty’s Flight Gear Universal Light is designed with a durable clip that provides a multitude of mounting options. The clip can slide onto a visor, and it makes a perfect cockpit light. Use it on a shoulder seat belt and it can illuminate your panel. Slip the clip on your flight bag to illuminate the inside of your bag.  Clip the universal light to a kneeboard to provide just enough light for writing down clearances.
