Sporty’s Plans an Interactive Shopping Experience for Pilots
Sporty’s tent at AirVenture.
Showgoers who enter Sporty’s tent during AirVenture will be part of an information-packed, fun-filled experience as they browse the hundreds of Sporty’s products on display. Sporty’s 1,600-square foot tent hosts product experts, manufacturer’s representatives, flight instructors and fellow general aviation pilots all anxious to answer questions about the merchandise or just talk about airplanes.
Sporty’s tent is located in Outdoor Space #260, just outside of Exhibit Hangar B.
“Sporty’s AirVenture tent is typically buzzing with shoppers who have the opportunity to hold, touch, try, or try on various items,” says Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman. “We love our catalog and our website, but nothing beats the personal experience of one-on-one demonstrations where the customer can actually pick up an item and learn more about it from a knowledgeable, friendly person.”
Popular features from previous years will return such as Sporty’s Headset Demo Station, where pilots can compare headsets side by side without running from booth to booth. Another section is set aside for the exciting world of drones, complete with quad-copters and video cameras from GoPro and Garmin. Sporty’s staff, including flight instructors, will also be on hand to talk about learning to fly, with the latest online training courses, student pilot gear and even a RedBird flight simulator on display.
“We are offering more than products,” adds Zimmerman. “We’ll have flight instructors on hand to talk about learning to fly or adding a rating. Those showgoers interested in living at an airport will want to talk to our rep from our fly-in community, Sandy’s Airpark at Sporty’s.”
